First Ground Intelligence collects only the data necessary to provide our services:
- Account data: Email address when you create an account or request a magic-link sign-in.
- Usage data: Pages visited, search queries, and feature usage (anonymized where possible).
- No payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the First Ground Intelligence platform.
- To communicate service updates and respond to support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations under Canadian law (PIPEDA).
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing. Data may be shared with:
- Service providers: Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payments) - bound by their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements: When required by Canadian law or court order.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing [email protected]. Deleted data is removed within 30 days.
5. Your Rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data.
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
6. Cookies
First Ground uses only essential cookies for authentication and security. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies. No cookie consent banner is needed under Canadian law for these essential-only cookies.
